For centuries the origin of life was a settled question.  According to the Bible the world and all living creatures were created by God. Because the Bible was viewed as the Word of God this origin was accepted by many.  Then in 1859 Charles Darwin published his Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection and the debate began.  Since then evolution has become the most widely accepted view regarding origins within the scientific community and the public media.  The debate is seen by many as one between science and religion, but does true science actually contradict the Scriptures? Is the theory of evolution true science? Is there as much evidence for it as is claimed? What is the basis for accepting evolution?
